The matchawan is the traditional bowl used in Japanese tea ceremonies, which makes matcha very easy to prepare. When matcha is whisked with a bamboo whisk (chasen), the high, vertical walls of the matchawan help prevent water from running out.
The wide bottom of the bowl makes it easy to mix the powder in it smoothly and quickly get a perfect foam on the surface. Please remember to use water with a maximum temperature of 80 °C to preserve all the properties of matcha.
Created by a small ceramics studio in Krakow in collaboration with Moya Matcha, in the centuries-old Japanese tradition from Kyoto. Each stoneware piece is unique, with natural and subtle variations. They are fired at very high temperatures, which ensures safety and durability.
