Assam
The Assam region is one of the world's largest tea producing areas, located in the north-east of India, crossed by the Brahmaputra River. This part of India receives heavy rainfall, with up to 250-300mm of rainfall per day during the monsoon, and temperatures can reach 36°C, resulting in greenhouse-like conditions. This tropical environment gives Assam tea its distinctive taste.
